The kids (5 yo and 7 yo) love this book。 It's great for predictive reading (opposites), and for beginning readers in Pre-K through 1st grade。 The kids (5 yo and 7 yo) love this book。 It's great for predictive reading (opposites), and for beginning readers in Pre-K through 1st grade。 。。。more

I don't like the writing in this at all。 I see the appeal for children though。 I just think there are better books to choose from for a baby's bookshelf。 This only comes recommended on theme reading。 It'd fit nicely for books about dogs or colors。 I don't like the writing in this at all。 I see the appeal for children though。 I just think there are better books to choose from for a baby's bookshelf。 This only comes recommended on theme reading。 It'd fit nicely for books about dogs or colors。 。。。more

Fun little book!Read it because of the new series on Netflix and found out it was one of my husband’s favourite books as a kid。Well my kids (almost 4 and 6。5) seem to be the perfect age especially having seen the dog with the hat in the show! They laughed every time they saw her! My oldest read it, and there was even a line where my youngest, in addition to “reading” the title, got to “read” as there was a very clear pattern and colours being reflected。We’ll have to see if it becomes a favourite, Fun little book!Read it because of the new series on Netflix and found out it was one of my husband’s favourite books as a kid。Well my kids (almost 4 and 6。5) seem to be the perfect age especially having seen the dog with the hat in the show! They laughed every time they saw her! Oh, man。 We have to hide this book if we don't want to read it a dozen times a day。 Toddler loves it! He can basically remember it all himself。 Great way to teach opposites。 Oh, man。 We have to hide this book if we don't want to read it a dozen times a day。 Toddler loves it! Go Dog Go was my favorite book when I was younger because of all of the colors and funny activities that the dogs were doing。 Reading it 15 years later, it is extremely repetitive, however it is a children's book。 Go Dog Go was my favorite book when I was younger because of all of the colors and funny activities that the dogs were doing。 Reading it 15 years later, it is extremely repetitive, however it is a children's book。 。。。more

Hello, I'm #pivoting to #dadcontent and reviewing children's books I read to the bb。 My rating system will be reflective of how many times I would be willing to read the reviewed book in a night。1 Star = would read once in a night2 Star = would read twice in a night3 Star = would read 3 times in a night4 Star = would read 4 times in a night5 Star = would read 5 times or more in a night。 I enjoyed how Go, Dog。 Go! teases the dog in a car on the front page, but holds out on delivering the goods un Hello, I'm #pivoting to #dadcontent and reviewing children's books I read to the bb。 My rating system will be reflective of how many times I would be willing to read the reviewed book in a night。1 Star = would read once in a night2 Star = would read twice in a night3 Star = would read 3 times in a night4 Star = would read 4 times in a night5 Star = would read 5 times or more in a night。 I enjoyed how Go, Dog。 Go! teases the dog in a car on the front page, but holds out on delivering the goods until well into the book。 Really, this is the opposite approach of One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish, which obscures the expansiveness of the book's subjects implied by the fish-exclusive title。 Go, Dog。 Go!, like One Fish, Two Fish。。。 starts simple and expands into more complicated storytelling。 Eastman introduces the characters, dogs of different size, color, and demeanor, and slowly expands their activities as the pages unfold。 I find this not to be a natural extension of Seuss's work, but a inferior attempt。 Some assorted thoughts and observations: I rather disliked the dog that repeatedly said he didn't like another dog's hats when asked for his opinion。 They were very well-made hats! The plot doesn't come together until the very end。 Difficult to follow, but the clues are all there throughout the story。After reading this, I'm concerned about the driving ability of dogs。 We shouldn't allow that。 Highlight of the story has to be red dog on a blue tree/blue dog on a read tree。 Overall, the little gems here and there would make a twice a night read do-able, but a third would be unnecessarily dull。 2 stars。That's my review of Go, Dog。 Go!! Hope you enjoyed。 。。。more

(4☆ Would recommend)Dr。 Seuss books are great for learning, since they have such colorful pages, engaging pictures, and rhyme。 Kids love them。

So I’m trying to have my Goodreads list be a complete record of all the books I have read。 Not going to happen because I read many books before I started on Goodreads (being no spring chicken anymore), but I’m trying。 Anyway, when I remember books that I have read in the past, I add them。 This book (read decades ago) was good fun, and asks important questions like “Do you like my hat?”

Kristal

Simple story with small words and repetition。 Great for new readers, and it teaches some colours too。 Really cute。

Elliot

These dogs are on their way to a big bash (spoiler alert!) and they’re using every form of transportation imaginable, from skis to scooters, blimps, boats, and bikes! Elliot hasn’t been super interested in this one yet, so I think he will like it as he’s closer to 2 years old

Rosie Gearhart

Excellent first reader。 Repetitive enough to not be frustrating。 Just enough picture cues, too。 Ages 0+ as read aloud。

Chrisanne

Not old enough yet。

My baby is nearly 22 so we last read this together roughly 19 years ago。 The other day he walked in and said "Do you like my hat" and I said "I do not like your hat。" He looked annoyed and told me he was wearing it to the dog party no matter what I thought。 That is how special a book this is。 I felt obligated to stop in and register that 5 star。 My baby is nearly 22 so we last read this together roughly 19 years ago。 The other day he walked in and said "Do you like my hat" and I said "I do not like your hat。" He looked annoyed and told me he was wearing it to the dog party no matter what I thought。 That is how special a book this is。 I felt obligated to stop in and register that 5 star。 。。。more

This Dr。 Seuss rip-off does not rhyme and is nonsensical in a way that a small person will demand often enough to make a grown person come to hate it。
